Susha
Fortress Susha was founded in 1567 by Prince Peter Serebriany and Prince Vasily Paletsky on the peninsula between Lakes Temenitsa and Ostrovki. Susha was part of the defense system of Polotsk. The fortress was besieged after the capture of Polotsk in 1579, the garrison ensured that he would go to Russia with arms in hand in exchange for surrendering the fortress. The fortifications were destroyed and were no longer used.
