Ruins of the castle date back to the XIV–XV centuries. The castle is famous for the fact that here in 1382 Prince Keistut was killed in captivity. In 1385, the Krevo Union was signed in Krevo – an agreement on the unification of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania into a state united by a dynastic union.
