Tallinn cross
In September 1560, near Revel, a battle took place between a detachment of Revel townspeople and Russian troops. Three crosses were founded in memory of the Revelites who died in the battle. Two of them were dedicated to the Revel ratmans - Blasius Hochgrev and Ludek von Outemil, and the third - to the members of the Revel Brotherhood of Blackheads who fell in battle. The Blasius Hochgrev cross has survived to this day. It stands on the street Marta, in 2001 it was restored. It is a monument of monumental art of the Renaissance and an illustration of how contemporaries perceived the war for Livonia.
